Location: Juniata College, Huntingdon, PA
Pay Rate: $17.99/hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Do you enjoy working outdoors and taking pride in keeping spaces safe, welcoming, and beautiful? Juniata College is seeking a Grounds Worker to join our Facilities Services team. This role is perfect for someone who has experience in landscaping, horticulture, or grounds care and enjoys hands-on work in a campus setting.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain campus grounds through mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and seasonal cleanup.
- Support event preparation, including athletic field setup and campus gatherings.
- Operate grounds equipment, assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Perform snow and ice removal to keep walkways, roads, and parking areas safe.
- Monitor grounds for safety hazards and report maintenance needs.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of recent experience in landscaping, grounds care, or a related field (or qualified trainee).
- Knowledge of fertilizers, weed control, and grounds maintenance practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and operate motorized equipment.
- Valid PA driver’s license in good standing.
