Since the intricacies of the law can be complex and confusing and we want to make sure nonprofit groups understand the right way to use gambling to raise funds for charitable causes, we’ve invited Christopher J. Burns, PA State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, Liquor Control Enforcement Officer, to speak to local non-profits. Officer Burns has been assigned to the Altoona District Office for 14 years.
The presentation will discuss legal vs illegal gambling, various types of permitted Small Games of Chance games, Use of Proceeds for holders of Club or Club Liquor Licenses, Bingo Laws and Special Occasion Permits.
